Gald3

Our Story

Every name starts somewhere.

Gald3

The name is ours — Galde, spelled out for the internet. The “3” isn't a hidden meaning or a family crest detail; it's what was left once the obvious versions of the name were already taken. We kept it, because it was ours, and because it looked right set in a monogram.

That's the kind of honesty this site is built on. Not a manufactured legacy — a real one, still being written.

We don't do things halfway

We're not here to be liked by everyone, all the time — that's not what this is for. We're here to build the best possible life for the people in it, and for everything we touch along the way. Education and determination aren't optional. There's success and opportunity everywhere, and part of what this family is for is going and finding it — and making room for others to find it too. We're committed to giving back to the community we call home.

Who's behind the name

  • Michael
Professor at the University of Arizona, researching industrial control system security, malware analysis, and network communications. More at michaelgalde.com.
  • Sarah
Attorney, focused on patent and IP law.
  • Edison
The oldest — athletic, creative, and always making something, usually a movie.
  • Niko
Full of personality, and the family's resident showman. If there's music, he's dancing.
  • Ghost
A white Samoyed, adopted from a local shelter.

What we're trying to be

We want to be a family that leaves places better than we found them. We're always trying to become better versions of ourselves, and we try to keep company with people who hold themselves to that same standard — not in what they say, but in what they do. Words are cheap. Actions are everything.

There's no single right way to give back to a community — we just try to do it, in whatever way fits the moment.

“This page will still be here in ten years, twenty, longer. If you're reading it then, we hope it still sounds like us.”
